Who Is Sarah Palin?

Some people call her a joke, some people call her a maverick. But there is a plain fact that anyody can prove. Sarah palin started out lifting McCain up, but it turns out she was just leading him into the "cave of doom". Ever since McCain's surprising announcement of the republican vice Presidential Nominee, Sarah Palin has dragged John McCain down much further than before. So who is Sarah Palin? She isn't serious, she isn't ready for the duty of being Vice President. that's Sarah Palin.

Ten steps to being greener

These days everybody is worrying about the environment and if your one of those people who just don't know what to do here are ten easy tips, for you!!!!!!!!!!!

1) Put in florescent light balls, this helps reduce your carbon footprint
2) Use reusable bottles instead of plastic bottles. I also suggest a water filter. By doing this you are producing less trash.
3) Get cloth bags to get groceries. This also reduces trash
4) Recycle- its easy, please do it
5) Turn out the light when you leave the room- this is self explanatory
6) When driving don't press down hard on the gas pedal after a stop. When you do this you waste gas, and you have to fill up more often.
7) If you a friend or neighbor are going to the same place carpool, so instead of two cars on the road there is only one.
8) Always remember, never leave the water running!!!!!!!!!!!!!
9) When writing or printing if you can double side things.
10) Don't litter, when you noticed you dropped something pick it up, don't leave it for someone else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obama's speach

If you've been following the ellection you most likely watched or heard about the demercratic convention. Where supporters of Barack Obama could be heard chanting, yes we can or perhaps U.S.A. The four nights were jammed packed of insperational speachs, by Joe Biden, his son Bo Biden, Hilary Clinton, Bill clinton, and Al gore. Every speach was exceptional, but one was more. Barack obama's. His speach stirred you, he brought the fight to the rebublicans. He stated his policies and hopes and truthfully there was no fault. He spoke with power and conviction, and somehow was still humble to all that had happened. The line I rember most is " I want my daughters to have the same oppertunities as your sons....." Obama deserves to win, if he doesn't our nation will fall father than it ever has before. Friends, family, and strangers will kepp on dying in Iraq, and the economy will go south. Women will lose the choice of abortion and our enviroment might go beyond saving. We need a new leader one who will take action on the problems that plauge us, not one who will sit on their lorels and do nothing. We need barack obama.

Bath&Bodyworks, smells good.... but is it healthy?

Almost everyone in america loves to shop for sweet smelling fragrance's. So why not shop at Bath&BodyWorks? It has products that smell great. True, Bath&BodyWorks has products that smell great and sometimes "helps the skin." But are most of the products good for you? No!! Most products at Bath&BodyWorks are made of Petroleum, which does not help the skin and in fact, helps produce cancer! So why put one of the products that is in gasoline on your body? To smell good? I don't think that is a good enough reason. If you want a product that helps the skin, helps you, smells great, is not tested on animals, and is good for the envirenment, use D.r Bronner's organic lip balm and body lotion! People spend over 20$ on products at Bath&BodyWorks that aren't even good for them. This time, pay for something that is worth the money you spent.

All-One Fair Trade and Organic...

There are many soaps, lotions, lip balms, and body balms to choose from...but there is only one brand that is actually organic and Fair Trade....its called Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps! Other brands have evil toxins like 1-4 dioxane and don't treat their workers right. Dr. Bronners Magic Soaps are good for the environment and work just as well or even better than regular soaps, lip balm, and body solutions. So when you run out of soap go buy Dr. Bronners. Plus they live near me!

Whats happening with global warming

Did you know that the north pole has been frozen for 100,ooo years? Well, scientists say that by the end of this century that won't be true. Evidence was found that people were contributing to global warming by pumping out greenhouse gases that trap solar heat. This evidence was found by Bob Corell who also said that the seas are rising bringing more chances of stronger hurricanes and that polar bears may become extinct. Polar bears need ice, but a lot of ice is melting because of global warming. I hope that more people will help stop this terrible world disaster before time runs out for the polar bears!

Nancy Pelosi

Nancy Pelosi was born in 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland to Thomas D'Alesandro and Annuniciata D'Alesandro, and was the only girl out of 6 children. Nancy. like her father, was interested in politics, at the age of 16 she was present at a black tie political event, her father with her.
She attended Trinity College, a woman only Roman-Catholic school, there (in D.C.) she met her future hasband Paul Pelosi. Later she married and after having children moved to San Francisco and had another child.
When the representitive of San Francisco got cancer, she suggested that Nancy ran for the seat and there would be a special election.
From 1981-1983 Nancy's duty was to be the chair f the California Democratic Party. All these accomplismeants do sound intriguing, but the most stupendous of them all is she is th first WOMAN speaker of the house.
Nancy's family had a long line of political people, her ad was the mayor of Baltimore, and after his reign ended her brother became mayor, so throughout the years she was inspired by what her other family members did.
All her life Nancy has worked on politics and concerns that have to do with the country and its wellfair. She supports education, helping the envirement, affordable healthcare, and many other concerns that the goverment may sometimes overlook. She does not appreciate the cut in taxes for wealthier people, and the awful war in Iraq, she says, "This is a war that each passing day confirms what I have said before and I will say it again, this war in Iraq is a grotesque mistake; it is not making America safer, and the American people know it."

Global Warming

Lately, global warming has been getting worse and worse. On February 1st some canadian explorers saw two polar bears stranded on melting ice. Although polar bears are great swimmers, they can't survive in the water to long. Luckly, the polar bears made to saftey on time. Another report states that four polar bears have drowned because the couldn't swim in a violent snowstorm. We hope that global warming will end soon but for now, good luck to the polar bears!

Respect others

You know that our blog is about saving the world. And you know that this blog is also here to let you know how you can help save the world. But did you know that our blog is ALSO here to tell you how are world is falling apart? Well, one huge problem is pollution. Other problems are drugs, recycling problems, and people who don't respect others because of their religon. One of the most important ways to help save the world is to respect others no matter where they come from, what they look like, how they talk, or what they belive. We are all different in many ways and there is nothing wrong with us for being different. Mabey if we all respect each other and the envirement, it would slightly help the world be a happy and safe place to live in. Mabey.

Obama

Obama is a black man who has run for president and might be the first. I think he really cares about our country and how it should have peace, but that is not all. He also thinks that this war should stop, and if he becomes president, he will stop it and bring the troops home. We are the United States of America, and we need to work together to make it a better place!

How to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint

1. Turn off lights, T.V., DVD, computer ect.
2. Turn down the central heating.
3. Turn down setting on water heating.
4. Use fluorescent lights .
5. Hang your clothes to dry instead of tumble drying.
6. Recycle.
7 . Drive less.
8. Switch to green electricity.
9. Wrap your water heater in an insulation blanket.
10. Choose energy efficient appliances.

Sea is for Seals NOT for People

Judge Hofmann's ruling not to put up rope barriers to protect the seals during pupping season is devestating because the seals might have to leave and find a new home. He refused to reanalyze the situation because of the previous ruling of Judge William Pates who said that the rope barriers were a violation of a ruling in 1931. Which stated that San Diego had to keep the area clean for a swimming area for children. Right now the harbor seals habitat is being destroyed by the greed of a few people. But if you would like to help the seals in there plight then go down to La Jolla at the Children's Pool Beach and protest or write a letter to the San Diego City Council.

Protesting the war

As you know, this site is here to give you information about whats going on in the world. It is also here to let YOU help make a differnce. Well, one way to make a difference is to protest. I am telling you this because my cousin, Ariel protested the war in Washington D.C and ILLEGALLY got arrested. There is a video of this on youtube and I would like you all to see it. Go to Youtube.com and type:

No War No Warming Polar Bears

Thanks!!

Peace

What is Peace?

Peace is essential to life. Without it, we would all be perished. That is why war is so terrible. If there is peace, we would all be happy and cheerful. But now, we have many troubles to worry about, and we simply could not live a normal life. For example, if people that you know are living in a country that is currently at war, for instance, Iraq, than you would be worried about them dying, and you would not be able to live a normal life. I mean, come on! Living a normal life does not consist of worrying about others. Think about it. This blog will be continued soon!

Creating Peace
Hey! I'm back! As I was saying, without peace, this world would be in complete chaos. You may be asking the question, "How do I create peace?" Well, there are several answers to the question, but the main solution is to try to come up with compromises to different disputes in our community. A way that you could do to create peace is protesting. You could make signs that say things like, "Peace is the answer, not war!" , and, "Save our world with Peace!". Once peace comes, you'll know it's there. This blog will be continued soon!

The Hunger Site

Have you ever heard of the hunger site? Well if you havn't, your about to find out now. The hunger site is a website that allows people who are poor and can't aford to get their own meal food. You may be wondering, how does that work? Well if you go to the hunger site, you will see a button that says click here to give one poor person a free meal. If you click that button you will give that person a free meal and make them happy. Just think about what a huge difference you will make if you click on that button every day! I know it doesn't seem like much, but you will see the HUGE difference! Thanks for reading my blog!

Sea is for Seals NOT for people

Judge Hofmann ruled not to put up a rope barrier to protect seals during pupping seasons. This might force seals to search for a new home turning it back into a childrens beach. More information to come.

What our blog is about

Many people want to help save the world. But often, they don't know what is going on. This blog site is here to inform you about the problems the world is facing. It has all the information. We will tell you about politics, war problems, and environmental problems. We will also show you some pictures of these horrible events. Please tell your friends about this blog and tell them to comment. Thanks!!

Our President

Our president has done exceedingly horrible things to our country and others. I would like to speak of one today. I would very muchlike to tell you that, as you all should know, Bush started an awful war, and I am guessing you would like to know why. In 2003, America attakced Iraq, Bush had sent soldiers because he thought that Iraq was involved in the 9/11 which they had nothing to do with, and he thought they had destructive weapons, so he foolishly sent soldiers to attack. Now, five years later, in 2008 this war is still going on, and both Iraq and America suffer from fear of loved ones being killed and loved ones that have been killed. That is just one bad thing that he has done. This is all I have to say for now. I hope you understand what I am trying to tell you.
